Default Garmin Nuvi 350 Install...

Ok i am really thinking about getting an aftermarket GPS system on my 06 Si.
Nothing more than 500 bucks. I have dont intense research on whats out there. I found my answer...... The Garmin Nuvi 350!

http://reviews.cnet.com/car-gp....html

Its looks like a solid GPS with other little features. Now it can be powered at home and in your car via the battery outlet.

Here is my thought. I dont want a stray wire constantly hanging over my controls on my dashboard. That would be super annoying. Hotwiring sounds a little over kill in my book.

So my main question:

Where are you putting your aftermarket Navi's at?

Pictures if you can.

Behind the shifter would be the obvious choice. Any other place and you're gonna have a wire running really.. I suppose you could also drill a small hole in the front of your arm rest and run the cord through that and into that outlet.

BTW I found a Nuvi 250W on sale and snatched it up, amazingly good performing thing. Hasn't failed me yet And I keep it behind the shifter. Fits there nicely and no wires hanging around

I went with the Garmin c330 that has an internal rechargeable battery. It fits perfectly in the little cubby in front of the shifter, requires no wires, and stays charged for 8 hours. It's also handy because I can easily transfer it to my motorcycle or the wife's car as needed. Just a thought....

i hate how the nuvi 250 gives its text to speech though. and i think the 350 is a little bigger than the 250.

Do you have the 250W (widescreen) or no?

it says its about 3 and half inches long but i am either going to get this or a Ti-C exhaust the choices are killing me
