Another Speedo no worky question???
I'm wondeing if anyone had the same problem as I have. The car is a 96' EK and the speedo just stop woirking one day. The only time it will function is when you step on the brake (LOL yeah, I know funny!!). I'm thinking it's a short, due to the fact that I know these cars have some electrical gremlins (service bulliten on he engine harness). I was just wondering if anyone has a quick fix, or I have to rip the whole harness apart? I'm almost thinking it's the interior harness (under the dash), not the engine harness.
I've eliminated the following (replacing, or trying known working ones);
-VSS sensor
-guage cluster
-all fuses checked
-brake light switch
-all grounds checked
Thanks for any help/suggestions guys.

if you've eliminated all of those and it still doesn't work, it could be your transmission where the VSS plug is under the IM, or it could be the little metal piece on your VSS... Might be stripped, beleive it or not it happened on my old integra - i couldn't figure out why my new speed sensors werent working properly... ended up swapping trannies with my civic GSR and VSS worked fine after that.
then i totalled the teg.
then i swapped trannies again.
lol

I'm having the same issue. I thought my speedo just stopped working one day. I took my Si cluster out and tried it on a friends car. Speedo worked on his. So I swapped out his VSS for mine, His speedo still worked. Checked all my fuses. Everything checks out. I'm starting to think its the harness.
