skunk 2 or tokico shock/spring kits for dc2
buying one or the other for my GSR, have 16's with 205 40's now, replacing eventually with 205 45's. basically i'm either buying the skunk2 sport shock / lowering spring kit or the tokico 201 hp shock / spring kit. both kits are like $350 you guys ever run either? whatcha think?
I hear the Tokico Illuminas are pretty good but I wouldnt recommend the Tokico blues because they cant support much more than a 1.5" drop. Ive ridden in quite a few cars with the struts too and i wasnt impressed.

I agree
--I have a 3.5" drop on my 94 gsr and the tokico blues definatley don't have as much support as i would like. Tokico Illuminas will run a little more $$, but definatley provide better quality. Keep in mind you get what you pay for..
I'm running KYB AGX 4-way adjustables in the front of the car w/ ground control coilovers, and I love them.. They feel good over bumps (don't slam like my rear shocks).. When I get the cash i'm definatley upgrading the shocks in my rear.. tokico blues for a slammed car

Well, it seems neveryone hates tokico blues on here, but i have a set of blues paired up with a set of h&r race springs and i like my set up. agressive stance and great ride. Thets just my 2 cents.

Tru. I saved a little more cash and bought F2(Function) for my Teg.

I personally think this is the most important mod to do to your car, so I would rather save up a little bit more cash to get some better shocks like agx's, illuminas, or yellows. I'm pretty sure the blues are basically stock replacements btw.
yeah from experience, the blues were horrible...nobody liked riding in the teg cause it was slammed...
i have kyb 4 way adj. and they are very nice!!! i would also recommend f2s or gc/konis....those are great for slammed cars....
i agree, i think suspension is a number one upgrade....so....
dont take short cuts on ur suspension

Ok, well everyone seems to go for "slamming" there integra. I'm kinda old and daily drive my car in the dc/baltimore area so I need some suspension and clearance. On my old hatch many years ago I had tokico blues with an eibach pro kit. The car rode well, had decent clearance and handled incredible. I think you give up a lot of real handling(traded for the slammed look) and definately ride when you go past 1.5" or so on this chasiss.
Long story short for a mild drop does anyone have a problem with tok blues? or maybe a better suggestion, I might just get there spring and strut kit, since the drop is identical to the pro kit. I know you get no rubbing with this setup. my civic (95 4d EG) has tien springs(dress up?) and stock shocks, rubs often (with integra whls and tires) and rides just ok, real clunky. looks good though. Anyway
whaduya think.
oh yeah I had the whites on my old CRX and it basically didnt need springs at that point, too hard imo. Remember im old. hehe
