Default Nokya Arctic Purple bulbs

I bought a set of these bulbs as I was just curious as to how they looked. Well, I give them a big Anyone else used them? When I first put them in I was impressed with the color and color only. They had a pinkish purple light that was really pinkish purple with no white to it. The lit up everything purple. Like If I pulled up behind a silver or white car it would look purple. Now for show I'd have recommended these things but the light output just didn't seem to be there. Well, overall I was happy for about 3 days. They were great those 3 days. I left on a trip and came back about 5 days later so the car had been sitting at the house as I didn't drive it. Well, when I got back and turned them on I noticed the light output seemed to be white on the road not purple I went and looked and when looking at the headlights they didn't seem to be as purple. I drove it about 3 hours the next day and by the time I got there the just looked really white with maybe a slight hint of purple. The also light up the road white. Now the output is a lot better now but it just doesn't look as good and they aren't really purple. I don't know what happend when it set for a few days. Any ideas? Have others had this experience with these or is this just a rare incident? I noticed when taking a bulb out that instead of the coating being purple still the top half looked like it had changed to a blue coating and the bottom half was still the purple. When I put them in they were all coated blue.

I give these a due to the fact that the color didn't last long at all and the light output doesn't seem the best.

ehhh why would you want purple bulbs anyway??

coated bulbs of any sort get a big from me.

Light output is getting better because the coating is fading away. Get uncoated bulbs, HIR 9012 if you use 9006 bulbs or Philips Xtreme if you use H4 and light output will be superb.

I agree with coated bulbs getting a as far as light output goes but I don't want to spend the money to put HID's in a car thats a beater. It gets driven mostly in the day so otuput isn't a huge deal although I do need to be able to see with them. The HID look is more important to me in this car. I just don't like how yellowish normal bulbs look at all.

Have you seen this? Those look damn good for halogen, and I'm sure the 9012 HIR's would look similar, if not a little brighter and whiter than those Xtreme Power bulbs.

I have and would love to try a set of them but they don't have them for 9006 do they? At least I don't think they did last time I checked into them. The 9012 bulbs are another consideration I've thought about but at $50 for headlights I can't seem to bring myself to spend that when it's not something I can return if I don't like them. I may end up doing that but I have a feeling if I am going to spend that I'll just spend and extra $100 and get a PNP Hid kit.

Please do a retrofit for HID.

Or get HIR bulbs. How can you go wrong with probably 3x the light as you get from those purple bulbs for $50, and still have the correct beam pattern? You will NOT have the correct beam pattern with a PnP HID kit, and those cheap kits most likely won't last much more than a year. HIR bulbs should last at least a couple of years.

I have the Nokya 3000 Super Yellow bulbs, no complaints from me. Only the people that are coming the opposite way.

I bought a set of silvanya silver star ultra's and they seem to light up funny. One headlight seems brighter than the other. I have adjusted my headlights to point them downward but thats not the case. Anybody have any experience with these? Sorry for the thread jack.

have you swapped the bulbs left/right to see if it's the bulbs or the connectors?
