Mini Me
If I were to get all the parts, how much would some one charge to install? Cause frankly it seems to much cause people keep confusing me on the coolant lines and wiring with the Vtec
A shop would charge too much.
It really isn't that hard. I don't know what you mean by coolant lines; I didn't have to mess with any coolant lines. Wiring VTEC is cakewalk.
As stated, just read over a few write-ups, and you'll be fine.

Well... stock for what car? You haven't given us any details.
The Integra ECU will not help. Save your $25, as petty as it seems.

Well its a 93 civic coupe with a D15y7. Its just im having trouble with the head and I really dont want to spend alot of time on this head and then switch. So would it be a wise chouce to just go and switch heads and do the Vtec thing?

I assume you mean d15b7.
What's wrong with your head? If the cost to repair this problem is almost as much (or more) than doing a mini-me, then yes, you might as well do a head swap.
If you use a d16z6 or JDM obd1 d15b VTEC head, then use a p28 ECU.
If you use a d16y8 head, use a p2p ECU and get an obd1-obd2 conversion harness.

There should be a casting number on the head to identify it.
A p28 is an obd1 ECU for a d16z6.

If you bring the mechanic all the parts I'd say you're looking at a charge of 2-5 hours of labor, depending on the garage.
Big window, I know, it all depends on the garage really. Probably most would put you somewhere around 3-4 hours.

I would think it would be more like 4-5 hours. A timing belt and water pump replacement alone is normally quoted at 3 hours (around me at least).
