Default A question for the JDM brainiacs.

I know that there was a second and possibly third generation integra that came factory carbureted but from all my research it seems that it was a D series. Am I wrong? and was there ever a modern (non b20a/b21a) B series car made factory with a carburetor? By chance I'd like to get my hands on its vacuum advance distributor.

No and why do you want a vacuum advance dizzy? Electronic isnt good enough or do you not want to spend the money to have an ecu that will control it?

I am running a b18b1 in a car that was made before a lot of h-t members were alive. I have the FI wiring almost completed but it would be far more practical to run a carbureted setup and I would prefer not to have to buy an aftermarket controller or go to distributor-less even though those are viable options. I know that I could run a chipped obd-1 ecu for timing and vtec should I ever go down that road but that seems to defeat the purpose of not having to deal with the wiring.
Also to mention, in order to use fuel injection, I'd most likely have to replace all of my fuel system including fuel tank.

Interesting. Have you thought about running the 96-00 Civic non-vtec wiring harness and an OBD II Integra ECU? That harness has the ECU plugs on it and you could basically drop the engine/harness/ecu in and out as one unit. Unless you currently have a mechanical fuel pump, the tank/fuel system should remain vastly unchanged as well...even then adding an external fuel pump and a bottom feed sump is pretty easy.

thats a really good idea, I was pitched that idea by a local shop but they claimed I'd have to have the ecu chipped so, not knowing much in the department of obd ecu's, I believed him. that seems like a good idea depending on how much other modification it would require and how much it will cost me. I have the OBD0 wiring all over my living room floor. lets just say I hate myself for getting an integra harness.

1g crx.
and if anyone digs it up, rywire isn't an option for me and I am not replacing my entire chassis harness. I did that once, I'll never do it again unless I'm getting paid.

the fuel lines are too small- the main problem is the return line is less than half the size of an EF. I've pulled off and repaired enough of these cars to know exactly what would have to be done and it is a huge project since you have to change tanks OR fuel pickups which is a little more work than changing tanks. Getting a tank would be an issue also. I have heard of at least one person that has gotten away with the B swap without changing the lines so I am willing to give it a shot- this is why I have 2.5 harnesses in my living room that I am working on.

Thanks for answering my question 95 integra. by the way I got my engine from a 95 integra, only I have all obd-0 electronics.

1g crx's were made from 1984-87 (production began in 83 to be more accurate). fyi
so the youngest possible 1g crx would have to be about 19 years and 335 days old.
not to be a smart *** of course.

edit: doesn't really matter, I was just making the point that the car is old
