Default painting in a large open shop, dust and dirt problems...

i need to figure out a way to vent out the air in a very large shop, as well askeep durst and dirt off my paint. the shop is large enough to fit two long beds in and tall enough for a semi-size trailer. its used for landscaping so its very dirty and hard to clean out, do u think buying one of those tents will help with that? dirt got on my fresh paint on the roof even.

any ideas anyone?

save the headache and just rent a booth for a day. you get filters, ventilation, driers, reliable compressor and lighting

you can get some plastic like tarps and make a booth outta them, as for the floor, wet it.

if its an empty room then take a pressure washer to it and soak all 4 walls (not the roof) and then wet the floor and squeege it out.

i agree with pockets. if you are painting... you will save so much time and money by just renting a booth for a day.

it saves you the time of washing down the garage, taping and putting up tarps, waiting for it to air dry, getting a good compressor, cleaning the air from the compressor... a lot of other headaches too.

by renting a booth, all you have to do is worry about the paint mixture and masking.

maybe I'll do that, I'll have to find a place that will rent them out.

i was thinking about getting an enclosed outdoor canopy for painting also.
thanks for the input.
