Default Question about theft, wheels, and lug nuts

I really like the look of annodized extended lug nuts, but will putting them on make it any easier for a thief to jack my rims? (By hammering them/freezing them or something.)

Theft guru's help me out. Thank you all!

What lug nuts are you talking about? Most tuner lugs are easy to get off. But yes, if you can clamp vise grips on your lug nuts I would imagine it might be easier for a thief to get your wheels. Although, allot of thieves will scope out your **** and come prepared with the proper lug key anyway.

Rays. Yeah, I know what you mean. Anyone else care to chime in? Are extended lugs even easier to get off than the regular sized lugs?

A friend of mine had extended lugs on his ride and his rims were jacked. I don't know if they were easier to get off, but they got away with his rims.

Why not just get the standard rays nuts? They all do require a key, but a standard socket and a hammer will get around that with the rays. Your best bet is a good 2 way alarm with long range (SST by DEI or Compustar) and a tilt sensor. It takes time to remove 4 wheels, the alarm could save them.
