Default Anybody using GM Syncromesh?

I just had the tranny in my car put back together due to a 3rd gear scratch and I was wondering if anybody has tried using the GM stuff?

From what I have heard, their stuff is pretty good since the syncros aren't that good on the GM cars....?

Anybody can vouch for their product? I don't ever wanna open up my tranny again.... it was a very long night...

What's with the ?
Anyway, some Miata peeps swear by that by product which solved their shifting/tranny issues. It is kinda $$$ at $9 a bottle. I am having some shifiting issues with my GTS too, I will probably try that.

GM Syncromesh actually isn't bad at all, but BG Syncroshift II is better. I had no problems running BG, but I have a case of Honda MTL I need to burn through before I go back to it.

Thanks for the reply guys.... Warren, has the Honda MTF been treating you ok when racing or is there a reason why you went with the BG in the end?

Yeah, my tranny actually shifted slightly better w/ the BG stuff. It's expensive though, so really, the difference in price/performance is a call that you'll have to make.

Look around the internet. BG is considered one of the best tranny fluids available. I ended up using it once because I had heard good things about it, and the shop was out of Honda MTL.

I've got a Kaaz LSD in my b16a tranny and I use GM Syncromesh with a 80-90w and it works great.

Also if you get some synchro grinding at high RPM this might help to alleviate the problem for awhile. Give it a try it's only $10 a bottle at your local GM dealer.
