Just swapped tranny, do i need a differnet length passanger axle?
So i swapped a tranny into my 1990 ls integra from which i belive was a dc2 integra...The tranny mounting holes are positioned different than my stock so i had to custom make a mount, and i got it all to work then today i blew an axle. So i baught a brand new passanger side axle from schucks for a 1990 integra and put it in and instantly it blew this one. Is it possible that my tranny is different from stock in the way that it sits farther inside in the engine bay so it stretches my axles out farther? It is a cable tranny, and right now i dont know the code on it. Any Help would be GREATLY appreciated. mabey i should be asking for an axle to match the year of my tranny and not the year of the car?
thanks guys!

Wow, just wow. There should be an IQ test to get into this site.
OP: If the axle is too short, it will just pop out going around turns. Should not hurt the axle unless you keep driving on it.
If it has a vin number, post it up

Im sorry if i wasnt clear enough, i had a hard enough time trying to explain it. Just checked the tranny, its a S1, the 3 bolt holes for the tranny mount on top are in a deffernt pattern than my oringal tranny (if that matters at all) I took the band new axle that blew up back and got a new one, its the same axle for a 90 integra and i put it in and everything is bolted up and on the ground but i want to check up with you guys before i drive off and it blows again.
i looked at that a bit earlier and the only helpfull part was this quote
"• ANY B-series tranny (cable & hydro) will mate up to ANY B-series engine block: B16A/B17A/B18C1+5/B18A+B/B20.
Just make sure that you use the correct clutch, flywheel, & intermediate shaft when mating the trans."
But as far as i can see the S1 tranny came in a few different integras, so which axle/intermediate shaft would be the correct one to use?
mabey im just over thinking it and i just use stock axles...
