ECU Code 9 help
Hey guys, im workin on finishing up my b16a1 swap into my 90 si hatch. Everything went in well for the most part, i fixed an idle problem that was a pain in the a** but im throwing a code 9. An ignition problem. Ive been searching for a solution for a couple weeks. I bought a new cap and rotor, new wires, still nothing. I have a remanufactured d series distributor that i took apart and put back into my b series distributor housing. Still it did not fix the problem. When i start my car and its cold, the engine stays at about 2 grand and the CEL comes on. When the car warms up and i dont touch the throttle, it idles at a grand and the CEL does not come on. as soon as i touch the gas, it comes on. Also if i slowly let the clutch out without any gas, get rolling with the clutch fulling disengaged, the light doesnt come on however the engine sputters for a few seconds and then the CEL comes on and it runs fine. Im confused with the problem and would like some help. Ive been working on this for about 2-3 weeks trying different things each time. Any imput??
