Re: help with code 9! (eg6ajk)
so if i have a problem with my cylinder...it will read the code from the distributor?
also...
after i put the new distributor on...the car still wouldnt kick over...i got new spark plugs and it starts fine...
but now, when i press the gas to rev the engine...if i floor it too fast then the engine starts to kick out n sometimes shuts off
it runs fine if i barely touch the gas...
i dont kno what to do...please help

then check your t-belt, usually a sign of the t-belt be stretched or being off a couple teeth... i would check -t belt then replace dist..... I did it recently on a frineds car for him and had to replace both belt and dist....

i am having the same problem with my teg. car bogs and ides sometimes out of no where and throws a code 9. i bought a brand new distibutor housing from acura which contains a new sensor and it still throws a code 9.
i have heard of the timing belt issue before so i may check it out. though my car only has 30,xxx miles on it.

i took it to a dealer mechanic n he tells me that he doesnt see anything wrong...
he tells me that i may have a wrong part in my <A TITLE="Click for more information about car" STYLE="background-color: #f0f000; " HREF="http://search.targetwords.com/u.search?x=5977|1||||cars|AA1VDw">car</A> from the distributor...but it read the same part # as the stock one...
he told me nuthings wrong with my timing....so i have no clue why its hesitating to run all the time...im not reading a code anymore though...its pissin me off...im about to swap
