Default Bad thermostat?

After warm up my car sometimes begins to idle as if it was cold. the guage shows perfect temp but my heat is barely hot. the thing is though, it doesnt always do this and sometimes i just happens randomly so im thinking mabe my thermostat is sticking? any ideas?

Also, i have a hairline crack in my radiator. i got some jb weld and it already crapped on me so i went out and got a bottle of that radiator stop leak, does it work? if not i guess 5 bucks wasnt a bad burn to find out.

so my main question is.. are these signs of a bad thermostat? and if this stop leak stuff doesnt work what could i try to "temp" fix this bad boy till i can buy another radiator?

thanks in advance

Don't use that stop leak stuff, it will stop the leak but will also clog any other small passages. Its not worth it.

Sounds like your thermo is stuck.

Ya, that stop leak **** isn't worth it. As far as the thermostat goes, it does sound like its sticking, just go out and purchase a new one If you need a radiator, pm me i have two for sale.

I would suspect air in the cooling system. It's probably getting sucked in through the crack in the radiator on cool down.
