Engine building theory's. Anyone?
I like this place a lot. Ya'll have great info and feedbacks. I am in the process of learning how to balance and blueprint, and or machining. I have this idea about a turbo LS motor that should create alot of torque. I havent really seen a lot of torque monster's out there so I decide to post this to see what everyone thinks and get people to respond to basic engine theory's.
I think there is more to the honda world then meets the eye. If people would wright there Ideas down then discuss them with people then we can get feedback of why it could work or why it couldnt work. If there's any body down to talk about these key points I would gladly give you feed back and help with any thing that I can. No one does these thing's anymore, everything is such a big secrete now a days. What ever happened to the good old days where people just loved to do it because it was a passion. Anyways if you wolud like to chat about this subject please by all means, if you dont then just read and move on. Not looking for any negative feedback back just enthusiasts chatting about the world of Honda.

This belongs in the General Discussion and Debate forum. There are plenty of Honda engines out there that make plenty of torque. Search under dyno graphs or something like that. There are plenty of cars with gobs of torque. There's a lot to the Honda world and many many people have found this out already- this is nothing even remotely new.
Put in new con rods and pistons. Do some head work and get some upgraded valvetrain. Bolt on a turbocharger and an intercooler and get some good engine management. This is a guaranteed recipe for a good, powerful build. /thread

Evadentaly you are not grasping the concept. I have seen the torque monster's that you are talking about. I have been in the industry for about 8 years now. Im not talking about something like 650 hp and 480 lbs tq. I think there is a better solution like 650hp but like 575- 625 lbs tq. No one looks at the efficency of a motor wich in return is durived from torque, all Im saying is that every one just wants to put crap together with all these bolt ons because they Know the hp levels that product will produce. No one gets into the fine aspect of things. Like wouldnt it be obvious to have a better motor with a broader powerband than on with high hp figures with a really crapy like 2-4000 rpm powerband.
GDD is the place for a discussion like this. But until you learn to use spellcheck all you will get is flames.Your spelling is very distracting. And it's not that people don't want big torque numbers,it's just not a choice with a 2.2 liter or smaller engine. It's also true that more than 300 #ft is pretty useless with a front drive street car.Good luck going down this path.
