Default rev limit at 7700 w/b16a w/gsr cluster

hi i have a 90 civic with a sir b16a swap. The other day i installed a gsr gauge cluster and ever since then my rev limit is 7700. I have a proform shift light set a 8000 and its always been right on now the car hits at 7700 and the light does not come on and feels like i have no power. I have an msd 6 series box msd pro cap and external coil. I dont know whats going on any help would be much appriciated. thank you

is your speedo working? check engine 17? maybe its not cracking V, and if your ecu is stock the check likght wont let it rev past 7500

you need to wire up an electric speedo from the cluster to the comp to the speedo! look on hybridgarage.com for the wiring diagram

Yeah ive got the orange wire from the electric speedo to the sixth pin on the back of the cluster like it says to do but ill check that site. thank you

yeah i do have the number 17 code comin up on my pw0 i think that is vss right? Yes my speedo is working

hey thanks for all the help i got it fixed. i had to run that jumper wire to the ecu. Now the temp gauge doesnt work haha. Thanks again.

check the single wire prong SENSOR on the side of the head most of the time its just the dumb sensor! ITS A 12MM DEEP SOCKET TO TAKE IT OUT
