How to prevent rear end from squatting.
Asides from getting stiffer rear springs for my coil over. What other options do I have? I have a daily driver and would hate to be riding on some 900lbs rear spring. But if that would help me gain a couple of tenths then so be it. Does those spring locks from FLAPs help?
Get some polyurethane motor mounts, especially the rear one, and some adjustable shocks.
I have some KYB AGX shocks, and before I had them my front would lift up when I take off. I put it on the stiffest settings and the lift decrease.

when you guys go to the track with adjustable shocks, do you put the rear ones on the stiffest setting and the front ones on the lowest??? this is what i have been doing and was wondering what everyone else was trying.

I never went to the track. When i drive around on the weekends, I put my rear to 4(max) and the front to 3. It helps me get a better launch and cornering.
Is your ghia RWD? If so then you should be able to modify the suspension geometry to get as much anti-squat as you want without touching the springs/shocks. In live axle cars, the force of the pinion trying to climb the ring gear can be used to create a torque in the rear suspension arms that lifts the rear of the car. For cars that use that use double wishbone or other type of independent setup, the suspension arms can be inclined towards the front of the car, so that as the tires drive the car forward, they also exert a force upward, holding the rear end up. This is the same basic idea behind anti-dive at the front of a car, although anti-dive gives a very harsh ride.
But with FWD cars the only way to prevent the rear from squatting is either to use stiff springs and/or shocks. Sorry.

you should see how bad my eclipse squats off the line... the front lifts up a litte, but the rear almost bottoms out.... its insane, as soon as i get my nitous system working (who knows how much this is going to end up costing) and my new gauges, i am deffinately getting some stiffer suspension (it sucks being 16, working 12 hours a day, and still broke... damn cars

I use the rubber spacers that you can get at Autozone for like $7. You just stick them between your rear springs and they hold them stiffer than stock. Works pretty well, no squat.
I'm in the works of making a bolt on wheelie bars. I let you know how it works when i'm done. Sorry- i'm only making them for Hondas though.
rear:
koni yellows as stiff as possible. 900 lb springs. rubber bushings on the struts, top to bottom. no squatting.

I set my KYB AGX's to 4 (stiffest) in back and 1 (softest) in front. This is with H&R OESport springs (a little stiffer than ITR stock springs) and 50psi in rear tires and 18psi in front.
I get 2.1's all day and have hit 2.0 once. Falken Azenis and an LSD round out the picture.
Does anyone think I'd get a better launch with the front shocks stiffer? I'm all ears and will be certain to experiment next time at the track.

I had my koni's set full hard in the rear and a hair from full soft in the front last time it went. I got very good traction compared to before i got the koni's. And that was on pro-kits
Thanks for the info. Just curious, why softer in front? By the way, do you know where they sell just two 900 lbs springs and what brand do you recommend.
Hehe.. Anyone every just try shoving some extra bumpstops on the shock to limit the shock travel??
I heard it works pretty well for the price...
