My 1992 Honda Prelude vtec will always start first go but when i turn it off for about 10 seconds then turn it back on again it will just start up for a sec then die and wont work for about 2 or 3 turns,is this anything to worry about or should i just not be doing this? any help would be much appreaciated

 

That sounds possibly like a main relay.

When it happens (you can't restart) listen under your steering wheel for the main relay to click (telling your fuel pump to prime b4 you start your car I believe) when you put your car onto accessories (turn key until car power comes on but doesn't start). If you don't hear that "click" than its your main relay.

I'm sure some would could confirm or come up with a more probable solution
