jeez what's up with the bumper on this car
i've had the car for about a thousand miles and the bumper is already all torn up with scratches and stuff
anyone else with tafetta white and some cheap paint? >:-/
edit: while i'm at it, i suppose i'll tell another cheap paint related story :-D
i bought some black magic at walmart, and per the instructions, did not wipe it on.
i've washed cars a million times in my life and never wiped it. if there was some splatter i'd just wipe it off the car after my initial drive.
well, it would not wipe off. soap & water did nothing. as did tarminator (a car safe lighter fluid basically).
i took it to a detail shop/car wash to see if they could do anything about it. because to be honest, it looked terrible. like i drove through a yellow pee puddle on all 4 sides of the car.
they tried everything and then pulled out the buffer. burned the paint right off. lol.
they took it to a body shop and had it blended back in. looks perfect, but wow. the tire shine is still there.
the owner said he has been in the car wash business for a long time and had never seen this happen before. maybe because its a brand new car it will oxidize out he said. and if not, take it to honda and complain.
how lame.

what black magic? foam? clear spray?
ive used it before (the clear spray-on) and never had any problems...foam is easier to apply, but doesnt last the same as the clear spray, but it gives you almost the same results as the spray...
once i had my car detailed, they used some tire shine (no brand-generic) and the splatter lasted about 1.5 months...kinda coffe stains on the bumper...never went there again...
