What year of engine/car do u have. The TDC will be either in ur engine block or in the dizzy depending.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by gibsanez »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">CEL's will not let you crossover into VTEC. </TD></TR></TABLE> Nope, not all the time, only a few cel's will not let vtec engage.
its obd0 so 88 to 91. i did the swap and have been driving it around for four months now on safe mode and don't wanna spend two hundred dollars on a dizzy if its not going to fix the problem. thanks for the help
unfortunatly the only way i'm away of fixing the TDC cel is ur ganna have to replace the whole distributor. Or maybe just find a shell and swap the internal parts over.
ok cool i guess that would be my answer then. if you were going to spend the money would you just convert it to obd1 instead of buying an obd0 dizzy?? your video is hilarious!!! thanks for the help again

If the car and engine run fine other then the TDC problem I wouldn't worry about converting it it to obd1, just find a good deal on a new or good used working distributor and ur problem should be solved. Make sure to adjust the timing when u put the new distributor on. Good luck
Yeah look on the distributor, it should say TD- then 2 numbers I believe. It might be the same as the US version, or it may not i'm not sure about the b16. I know for my h22 the jdm dizzy has an internal coil, and the us version has an external coil. I got mine from a race shop thought it was like $300.
