well i was talking to this guy(mechanic) at this new shop and i told him that i wanted to do k20r in my da and his response was its a cool swap but not worth it.then he was saying i should stay b series and get a type r and he will make it a b18c5 stroker motor. so my question is what do you guy think about it and how is it different from the type r wit cams and some other goodies.i was told he did this to a crx and it was pushing 420hp all motor.what do you think?

.......Sorry, fell out of my chair from the
spilling out of my monitor. Wow. No way an all motor B18C5 will hit that HP number unless he's spinning it to 20,000 rpm or it's punched out to 4 liters. Swap what you will (i like the Type R idea), but your "mechanic" friend doesn't know **** from Shinola.

It would be my guess that he was talking about stroking a B18c5 motor which everyone on here knows is more or less turning it into a 2.0L by sleeving it etc. All of us also know that you can do this for a lot less money with a different choice of block (B20, LS, etc). The 420hp "all day" is an absolute joke though all motor.
