Default Mini_me questions?

I am in middle of doing mine-me swap, and having few issues. I have d16a6 block and d16z6 head. I am using d16z6 timing belt and it's not fitting. All of the write up about doing mine-me swap said all i need is timing belt. My buddy told me i have to swap out water pump out also. I went ahead and got d16z6 pump from honda, when i counted the teeth on it, it's same as my old pump. Have someone gone thru this problem before?

from experience, the d16z6/d16y8 belt does work, but it's really tight and you might need to take off the spring on the tensioner..The d15b7 belt fits better..

it has a 2 more teeth, gives alittle more room but still tensions just fine.

I say use it. Might of been pricey, but hey, a fresh waperpump can't hurt.

i thought the belts would work if you had the matching tensioner? Like y8 tensioner with y8 belt, z6 w/zt etc? Just wondering..

I don't know, because all of the mini-me write up i read did not mention about tensioner needing to be changed.
