I have an H22a 92 eg civic hatch with mild skunk2 parts. i recently ran a 1/4 mile time of 14.1. i have a lot of top end in my car but im needing more low end. Is it possibly to put different gears like from a b16 into my transmission or a b16 transmission swap all together. The car will do 160 easy but i dont need that.

 

i heard it was possible to use some gears from other trannys but im not sure about b gears in the h.

Rocky dannis is right. An H2B is a trans adapter that lets you put a B series transmission (usually an ITR or B16A trans...the GSR has about the same gearing as an H22) on your H motor.

YOU RAN A 14.1 WITH AN H22 CIVIC?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you launch, see a bird fly by, get distracted, go off track, find the bird, eat it's eggs that it laid, and then finish the race?

No offense. But maybe instead of investing in parts, invest in some more driving skillzz?

 

do you have the lsd tranny?

 

Euro R tranny will be the best H tranny to buy, but it might prove impossible to find one.

Second to that is an H2B conversion, but that will be a huge pain in the *** because it caters to people who are still B series. You'd need to reweld the passenger side framerail mount bracket back on, go back to solid b series shifter linkages.

I dont race .25 mi. but I thought they were supposed to be faster than a 14.1

 

I do have a lsd but i was only running my 13*5 inch tires and rims. i have run a 13.4 with my slicks but they are stock axles and i want to upgrade them before i run the slicks again. i had a 2.3 60 foot. i make great [ower up top but my 1st and second a so long that i just dont have enough to get out of the hole quick enough

 

well i ran a 14.1 in my prelude h22 and i now have the same h22 engine/trans and its in my hatch and i know it'll run 13 flats all night.

14.1 in a h22 civic is insane...i turned a 14.1@99mph in my prelude....and it wieghed 3100 lbs...my hatch weighs 1920 with me in it and h22 swapped.

Well, if you break axles and have traction issues with a higher geared trans, it will only be worse with a lower geared trans.

I dont know if a B16A's torque magnifying transmission is a good idea for a lightweight car with a 160 lb/ft and 200hp+ motor....unless you have slicks and big *** axles.
