Default 6 speed base model rsx

sup H-t ? right now i am attempting to put a 6 speed trans in to my 02 base model rsx. i know the 6 speed has the reverse lock out solenoid , now my question is do i have to wire it up ? or can i just leave it unpluged the way it is , ive been looking at the eletrical schematic and from what i understand it locks out reverse when going over 12 mph and below 12 or so it is unlocked . it says that it grounds the circuit to lock it but if it nots getting ground nor power then i would assume that it will work just fine. now my final question is will the 5 speed shifter box work correctly ? i am assuming so but befor i do this i want to be 100% sure. thanks for any input

which 6 speed trans are you using? 02-04 or 05-06?

it should be like plug and play. Everything should be plugged back up just as if you were putting the 5 speed tranny in. You will now have an extra gear, everything should work normal. I don't have experience with putting the typeS tranny on a base rsx but i see no problems with the 02-04 tranny being put on the base. You'll just have an extra gear. Now the 05-06 is a little different.. don't think that would work as they changed a few things on the 05-06 tranny.

WTF... he has a k20a3 ecu?!?!?!? Holy cow ***** batman.. what a moron. I really hope he's not getting on it because that ecu is not going to compensate for the exhaust cam. that's prolly why he's braking ****. tell the guy i said he's a moron.
