If you already have the ITR flywheel you can take it to a machine shop and have it lightened and balanced. I had that done with my GSR one and it's almost the same weight as some of the lighter ones, without the revs dropping off to nothing after pushing in the clutch. I've been running it for like 3 years and have been really happy with it.

if you daily drive it than u dont want the 9.5lb flywheel. just have ur stock flywheel resurfaced or lightened and resurfaced. the light flywheel is gonna be annoying when driving it locally everyday. the rpms drop more than stock and when ur on a big hill and roll back u kinda have no choice but to burn out a lil bit cause of the rpm drop. oem.

burn out on a hill? lol... I've had a fidanza 7.6lb flywheel and an exedy stage 1 for 2 years and no problems in traffic or up hills. If your a good driver with a fairly steady foot then no problem at all.

Personal preference - my advise go find someone with a lightened flywheel and go for a drive. And to be honest the flywheel / clutch was the best mod i had ever done.

Toda flywheel FTW
Light is nice. If you have a hard time driving a manual transmission on a hill, run an OEM GSR flywheel.

Fidanza user here. Shifting effort is easier (less inertia), and I didn't notice any difference in starting, on hills or otherwise.

People who say you shouldn't run a lightweight flywheel on the street have either never driven one, or just plain suck at driving with their clutch foot.

well maybe its just my experience but i had a 9lb flywheel with a stage 3 comp clutch and it was a bitch to get that thing up a decent hill from a dead stop.

As long as your a good driver, a really light aftermarket flywheel wont be a problem at all. In my old hatch i had an exedy 6 puck and a exedy flywheel and didnt have a single problem driving in Chicago rush hour traffic (stop and go).

In my new hatch I have an ACT clutch with a ITR flywheel, I dont really notice a difference from the exedy flywheel. If anything, the revs drop just a little slower.

i dont like the light flywheel. i tried one other day. 11 lb with a 6 puck sprung. Everytime i go on 1st i shake the whole front like im peeling or bouncing on the road. The whole front of the car shake. Then I try rev it up higher but it just didnt work well for me in 1st to 2nd. I didnt like it. It seem like the motor alway reving at high rpm to make it go.

The way my friend drive his car seem like he's always speeding. I guess I might not be a good as a driver some of you guys. See at time i when i drive it, it seem like the clutch catches good then sometime it seem like its no even in gear and need to be rev higher to go then and thats when the car shakes.

Over all before buying a light fly wheel test it out on someone who got one first.
OEM good enough for me.

i just changed to the exedy 3 puck thick cerametalic clutch and exedy flywheel and LOVE IT! it is way better than a stock honda one imo! i drive my car 350 miles a week also so its not that bad once you get used to it.

Have you ever considered that the problem lies with the clutch and not with the flywheel?
