Default tranny question?? searched and cannot find

as you all know, there are tranny problems with these civics...i have an automatic w/ 44,xxx miles on it...an 02 lx

from 1st to 2nd, it shifts at 3.5ish
from 2nd to 3rd, it shifts at 2.5 to 3(normal)

but either way it seems ike it's shifting really hard for an engine this low on miles during normal driving...is this normal???

Mine is smooth when shifting the only time i notice it is when its about 5-6.3 RPMs. May be able to service tranny to get that problem fixed.

No, they are probably full of it. Dealers will tell you anything to avoid them cost.

Honda autos aren't typically the smoothest shifting units. While it's normal to be on the firm end, it should never be violent.
