obd1 or obd0 with a auto

the trans dont last long
the on board diagnostics generation does'nt matter if it is auto or manual to an extent, as for your car it is obd2a, running a non progrmable/ non modifyable p2p. you will need to convert to an obd1 and run a programn of your choice to get it to run.
a p28 will do fine, as long as the maps are p28 based rather than p13 based you are golden,
i forhet the PKI chip number but if you remove the lid you can just google it, and find an EEPROM version of it , socket the ecu. so the chip is removable.
mind you that it is an absoulute BITCH to get those PKI eproms out of there intially.
if you're in socal ill do it for you for 50 bucks...........ill be gettting a new eeprom burner soon so i can also load a basemap if you would like
