Hello I am new to this site ... I have a ep3 02 black.,
SPEC.
Engine: AEM intake and Dc Header
Outside: grill mugen and wing mugen
Rings: tenzo r'17 inch `
Suspension: Tein
I thought put a exhaustcam gear (sproket)
, they will have an increase in hp?
It is true that if you have the 2 (exhaust and intake) vtec not working?
Another question pulleys of ep3 and the rsx (mode base) are the same?

the k20a3 vtec works completely different then the k20a2/z1 vtec and if you are talking about putting a2/z1 cams to "gain" the vtec the a2/z1 have, it doesn't work that way. The heads are different and if you are thinking about trying to put an a2/z1 head onto an a3 block there is more to it. It costs to much and you would be better off just buying an a2/z1 and swapping the a3 out.
yes the pulleys from the base and ep3 are the same. the motor in the base is the motor in the ep3. they are both k20a3's.

Ok many thanks, it is better to put a head of a a3/z1 to win more HP, the cam gear are bad idea ...

no no it is better to swap out the whole motor and get rid of the a3 then it is to just put the head of an a2/z1 or the cams in.

OK ANOTHER QUESTION ONLY I HAVE TO PUT THE CAM A2/Z1?, OR FULL HEAD? TO IMPROVE THE POWER
neither. it will cost to much to try and get it to work properly. You can't just put the cams in and think it will work. You are better off swapping the whole motor out for an A2 or Z1 then trying to make an A3 make power from OEM. Only way you are going to see power from an A3 is if you fully build your motor.
