Default 92 VX w/gsr 1/4 times?

I've heard anything from 14.9's to high 13's. What can I really expect from a 95 gsr swap in a 92 vx with aem cai and greddy exhaust? Or should I say what would the car with the proper driver and tire able to do under good conditions? Any input or personal EG hatch/gsr swap times would be welcome! 1/8th mile times too!!

my personal best on street tires was 14.0 on street tires (Bridgestone Potenzas), catback exhaust, stock airbox. on the normal i would net around 14.2-14.4.

i have seen a couple of egs go as fast as 13.3-13.4 on 13x8x22 slicks with b18c1 simple bolt ons, its very possible.

good luck man

12's on 22 m&h's are just a 1/4 time away.

yup, its not hard at all to run 13's if you have a gsr motor in a hatch... nice cams w/ proper tuning should help a lot! show 'em how it's done! goodluck

Well I just put a Greddy SP exhaust on and the gsr aem cai is sitting in the box waiting. Hopefully in a week or so i'll have the motor in and it should also have a dc header by then. 2100 lbs and a B18c1 with I/H/E hopefully will get me 13's!

Thank god you guys are posting decent times. I'm so tired of hearing about hybrids running like 14.90's. I ran 14.40's on DX wheels with a LS swap 100% bone stock in a "heavy" Civic Coupe.

You should expect to go deep 13's on slicks with that setup. I personally went consistent 12.80's @ 107 with a 100% stock head, but I was running a LS shortblock.

(I went from 100% stock '98 LS swap to LS/VTEC by adding a Type-R head from Acura, sorry for the confusion)

My friend has a 93 Cx with a B18C1 motor and runs consistent 9.5's in the 1/8th.
We don't have a 1/4 mile track anywhere around

Not sure what you guys are running in the 1/8th.....

Man this thread came back from the dead!

I ended up getting a B16 and running same times as a GSR swap. Oh well

drop the exhaust, and have a good intake.

if you have good tires and suspension , 13's should be cake.

Haha..for a second there I thought you had sold your b16 for a GSR swap!

Have you gotten a chance to try for the 14 flat yet?

No not yet. March the 1/4 opens up and i'll try again unless I have a new setup of some kind. Wouldn't mind the GSR swap but i'm still happy with my B16

It's like an hour and 20 minutes. It's not bad at all. Have you been there yet? You gotta get some 1/4 times for the z6!

Thats not bad at all. I've never been to the 1/4 track yet, I've been saying I need to ever sence I bought my Civic. From what I've seen around I'd probably pass around a 15.2-15.3. I could probably make a 14 second Z6 car if I was staying NA, BUT I'd like more.

My old 92 Civic DX with a D16z6 ran a 9.8 in the 1/8th and ran a 15.3 in the 1/4 at indy so you should run about the same. When the track opens up you should come down. When does louisville's 1/8th mile open up for t&t?

Well as soon as the track opens up I gotta try and run a faster time than my pathetic 14.9, but those runs were with the secondaries closed the whole time. If I can somehow make them function properly then I will be happy, if not then I will force them open/remove them, and see what I run then.

Hopefully it will be ALOT faster....

I have that same question. I have 92 cx with b18c1. Vtec don't work. Vtec was not working when the motor was in a 94 gsr. Didn't ran the 1/4 yet. Did you have any problem with the Vtec working after your swap? Thank.
