Default Just got back from Palmdale...

Damn!!! Elevation sucks!!! First time @ a track....ran a 15.222. Here are the details:
Reaction: .834
60-ft: 2.364
1/8: 9.808
E.T.: 15.222
MPH: 90.015

I'm guessing my 60 foot time could have been better...but I'm also running my 13'' stock VX rims w/ goodyear intrepids. I'm sure those didn't help. I was expecting a lil better time...but funny thing was other hybrids were doing 15.8s...and some CRX w/b16 i ran against did a 15.9. BTW, my setup is a 92 hatch, gsr swap, intake and shitty exhaust. I have a video of the race between me and the crx..but no server to post on. What do you guys think? I'm just a shitty driver?

I know exactly how you feel, it sucks to hear about other people with gsr swaps that run low 14's high 13's STOCK, and you go out and run a 15....you could use a little better 60' but 2.3 aint TOO bad, a 2.1-2.2 is better though.

I think your car might have a problem.

I ran my FASTEST (still slow) time at palmdale, it was a 14.9 and had a 2.2 60' time and then I found out a bunch of stuff is wrong with the car, mainly that ATOMIC PERFORMANCE (no longer in business) never hooked up the IAB. So after I fiddled around with the IAB it has noticable gains up top, so you might want to check that, its pretty easy to check. Just start the car and unplug the hose on the IM, it should suck on your finger, and have someone rev the car up to 5500-6000 and the sucking should stop, if not, then you are in the same boat as me and the IAB is messed up. To force it to work, just unplug that hose on the track, but thats only temporary, I am just going to get the skunk2 manifold to just do away with it all.

That could be why your traps are low too.

The IAB would do little or nothing to your 1/4 miles times. When there is no signal to the IAB, it stays open. You loose a little bottom end, but the top end does not change.

Case in point:

Last night at the strip, a customer was running 13.7 @ 99 mph with an 89 EF hatch, with GSR swap, stock JDM P72 ECU, bolt ons, and slicks. Then he bolted in our P06 (92-95 Civic DX) ECU converted for Vtec operation, with the Mugen DOHC Vtec program. His first run time was a 13.49 @ 101.0 mph, then 2nd try was 13.42 @ 101.9 mph. With the P06, there was no IAB control, with the JDM P72 there was.

Well..I had someone just PM saying that his hatch w/ jdm gsr was hitting only 15.8. His friend that ran consistent 14.7s...best @ palmdale was 16 flat.

That night that I was there...all other hybrid hatches were high 15s. RSX Type Ss...16s.....WRXs 16s....damn.
