So a few weeks ago, i got a cel 43 (fuel supply system). checked everything from the pump to the injectors... decided it was probably the o2 sensor, so i changed it. the cell went away, but the car has been running pretty crappy.
I can still smell the fuel in the exhaust which makes me think the o2 will burn out again soon. Also vtec is not kicking in. i changed the fuel filter today and when i punched the motor after running the system for a while a puff of black wet soot shot all over my garage wall. it was like water with soot inside... need help. don't know what's wrong with the car.
I'm running a
92 EG
95 B18c1
SK2 intake mani
intake/header/exhaust
stock p72

i have same rich problem. put a paper towel behind ur muffler and gas it, thats the best, it gets saturated... my problem was caused by no tuning after turbo installation, limp mode and other ****. im just buying a new ecu and im gonna try to tune it myself.

nope... completely unmolested.

Hmm. There's no reason the stock ECU should be holding the injectors on that long.
Have you checked the static and running fuel pressure? As well as the pressure regulator?
Check and recheck the wiring to your injectors.

Also make sure none of your fuel delivery related sensors are causing you to run rich by default.
Make sure the TPS and MAP sensor aren't defaulting to rich conditions.
