My b16 swapped CRX gets 30.5 MPG...is this about normal
My last tank this is what I got. I floored it a few times and hit vtec a dozen or so times, but for the most part I drove like a normal person. This 70% highway miles going between 55 and 75. Does this mileage seem about normal? I was actually expecting a little better.
I have the B16 tranny also.

That's actually pretty damn good. From my experience the average b swap gets between 25-30mpg depending on how spirited the person drives the vehicle. Atleast you arent getting 22 like I am....damn o2's

yeah pretty much

I would say thats about right with everything functioning properly. I swapped to obd1 and got mine tuned with 450cc injectors for the JRSC and I get 30-40mpg depending on how much I decide to get on the boost
I love to floor my b16 and i get about 30 mpg all the time.. i put in one gallon of gas (all i can afford with these damn gas prices)... (hydro conversion coming soon lol yea right) and i usually refill 25 to 35 miles after

I'd be careful doing that, it will put strain on an old fuel pump which isn't the best for you if you've gotta replace it after putting enough strain on it
In other news: I'm happy to see this kind of mileage, I was worried I'd be dropping down into the low 20s with my soon to be swap.

That milage sounds about in line.
In my mind, there are two things that dictate milage. One is the transmission gearing. The other is how you drive.
I don't really know the milage of my hatch with B18c, but on the freeway it's pretty good. I normally drive the freeway at about 70 and the transmission is geared for a reasonable RPM in fifth.
Around town, the milage is a lot less due to how I drive. I'm old and drive at a normal speed on the streets, but it's fun to "blip" the throttle between shifts.
