Engine cleaner?
Just curious to what you guys use to clean the engine and engine bay. Im going to give the R a full wash/interior scrub and would like to know whats best for under the hood. Thanks.
Plain Simple Green + a rag + a hose = clean as hell..............
After it's dry, put armor all on the hoses. They get shiney and keep from getting old looking.

Thats almost what I do. I'll spray down the entire bay w/ a bottle of Simple Green..i'll spray extra on spots that are dirtier. I'll let it sit for a couple of minutes and then hose it all down thoroughly. I'll wipe dry and then go thru with Armour All on all the hoses.

that's what I use... also, a 3" wide paint brush to get the really hard to reach places when washing with the simple green.

Before you asked this question did you try the search , its located on the upper righthand portion of the screen?
SIMPLEGREEN is the perfect engine cleaner, it does not harm anything that I know of and cleans like a ****!
EDIT: Clean it hot or clod and if you put the stock ingition in properly or never touched it don't even bother with covering it, Hondas in stock form are 99.9% water tight ( some might say other wise).

Basically here are the steps that detailers use:
1. Engine should be warm but not hot (should be able to touch header heat shield)
2. Plastic wrap distributer, air filter and other areas that should not be wet (plastic wrap and 3m tape work well together.
3. hose engine down to loosen dirt and moisten area to clean.
4. Spray on a healthy amount of degreaser (I use a product called SLAM made by Production)
5. Use a mit and car soap to scrub stubburn areas (a brush might help).
6. Rinse off the degreaser and dirt
7. Thoroughly dry the engine and remove all plastic wrap.
8. I finish it off with a product called Stoner Spray and Shine to brighten up the rubber and platics ( much easier than wiping everything down.)
That should do it, good luck!

pressurized soaped water pistol after washing the whole exterior. just make sure your car is running while you're doing it, and you're good to go.
you take 5 minutes of your time to clean the engine and inside the hood
