Default So the dealer is probably going to fix my tranny now!

After trying three dealerships I might have finally got them to budge. Every time they test drive it they can't seem to replicate the 2nd gear tranny problems in my EP3. I bought a Honda Care extended warranty when I bought my car, 4 years, 48K miles.

So I walked into the dealership today, asked to speak with the finance manager, and then told him I was canceling my warranty and to credit my loan.

After he tried feeding me a bunch of BS I INSISTED and then he got scared. Said to schedule an appointment and he and the service manager personally would try to get it fixed.

Basically they tried to feed me a bunch of crap about how I should hang onto the warranty just in case, etc. Then he was saying that if they don't end of fixing the problem now and the tranny breaks then they will just fix it for me so there is no need to worry. This pissed me off and told him that I wasn't going to be inconvienced later because they are being ****** about it RIGHT NOW! And if they don't fix it now it will cause other things to go wrong and I paid $1500 for that to NOT happen.

Those bastards... HEYO tranny!

let us know how it turns out. It really is bullshit tho cus you paid 1500 for the extra warranty and with that money you could easily get another tranny. Hope it works out for you.

Sometimes you have to step on dealerships nuts to get where you want believe me i had to do it to ford... no comment.

and that 1500 dollar warranty.. use it. It's bumper to bumper it wont be going to waste. I'm bout to use mine. $100 for a $650 new part + labor + another part that needs to be replaced.

Yeah. I am going to use the crap out of this $1500! One thing they don't tell you is that there are some honda care warranties that when expired, if you don't use them, you can get a refund for the price you paid. I think that is only with the premium ones though or something.

I really was kind of an *** to the guy, I felt bad but at the same time I got what I wanted. I was going to cancel that warranty and buy a type R LSD tranny, but now if I get it fixed I will be fine.

I just think it was funny he was telling me to drive it and if something break they will fix it then... GOOD ONE!

If you got the extended warranty with your loan (assuming you got a car loan) then they would refund the money back to that loan. If you paid seperately then you'll get the money back.

Yeah you will get money back if you don't use the warranty and i think it's for all warranties. don't quote me on that just ask a finance person at the dealership they'd tell you.

Yeah. I did finance my warranty. What I meant by taking that 1500 and buying a new TYPE R tranny was that at the end of my loan I wouldn't have to pay that 1500 and I could save that money for the tranny.

A+ for everyone not getting screwed by the dealer!
