sunroof problem (searched)
okay first my sunroof wasnt closing all the way, it would shut but would not go down, so i took the surrof thing off cleaned it inside and didnt put the tracking back on one side(it was bent) but i got it to shut. since i left the tracking off could this contribute? i just didnt bolt the roof onto the slider like thing.
my other problem is sometimes when i press the switch the motor dosent work, or sometimes i hear it spinning. so i am having a big trouble, with it, i took the switch out and blew it out with a air chuck but still has the same problem any ideas?
i also greased the tracks
also i am having great difficulty finding a 1989 honda crx si climate control panel thing. the guy who had the car before me it was broke and it was epoxyable but i fixed that and the side of the screw tabs are ripped off. so i went to my parts car 91 civic dx and that has sliders instead of pushbuttons, and it is mechanical instead. which do i need to get? i heard there is a conversion for this so do i have a conversion?

anyone please lol i dont want to buy new tracking and that not solve my problem, i ma 17yr old and i work in the kitchen, so im super short on money
sounds like the motor may be bad... im thinking since your removed the other side, there is less friction restricting it from pushing the sunroof down, so for a weak motor it would make it easier to shut..
I may be wrong
Oh and a swappable climate control is from an 90 accord i believe, check the FAQ there is a write up on it

that sounds alot like the problem i'm having with mine. with mine the white plastic clips connected to the cables that operate the vertical motion of the rear of the sunroof broke. sometimes i have to press it up to get it to clear the roof when opening or closing. and if i want it to close, i have to force it down.
to see whats going on with yours, drop your sunroof assembly, with the electrical connections attached, open and close it, and take a look what is causing your problem.
if it turns out you do need a new one, check out your local salvage yard, and if they have two, pick one up for me.

before you spend money on the motor do a search. The switches tend to go but can be cleaned and fixed. Also you dont want to drive with the sunroof held only on 1 side. It is unusual 4 the arms to be bent. I suspect worn parts gat a manual and take your time its pretty easy to fix
