First off, what is this VSS from, and can I get a replacement one from Honda. I think its the oem jdm vss sensor. Secondly, How does the speedo cable attach to this VSS. I realize the VSS is electronic, but I thought you can get it to work with a cable driven speedometer.

I think you can just switch them.

 

what can i switch? i looked a an oem D-series VSS from a 90 and it doesnt have that post that comes out to bolt to the trans so I am unsure how to secure it to the trans.

 

yep the b16 tranny comes with a electric vss, you need to swap out the electric vss for a cable vss.. . I got my cable vss out of a 90 integra ls
