Default Clutch pedal engagement....Please need experienced help!

I had a leaky clutch master cylinder which would cause the pedal to not fully engage, which with the honda safety feature...equalled no starting the lude,so I replaced it along with a good bleeding on the bench and in the vehicle, and even went as far as to bleed it again and adjusted the piston on the master cylinder itself to try to get an earlier engagement....but its still wierd....sometimes it makes a wierd grindy sound like its not engaging all the way,and other times I have to pump it to get it to start.I have bled it like 10 times since and there is no air in the lines, but when I do so it helps it out for a day or 2,then goes back to ACTING WIERD.

What can this be?Is it my slave cylinder causing this.....Ive examined it by eye and it appears to be working fine, but this stuff is driving me crazy!!!!!!Please any help and or insight is greatly appreciated.....thanks.

Is the slave cylinder old?

If you have already changed the master cylinder, go ahead and change the slave too if it's old. That's the first thing I would do since it is always a good idea to change both at the same time.

But honestly would the slave cylinder make this happen?I had no problems with either, and the clutch master was leaky and old,so when I replaced it I assumed it would remmedy the problem, but it hasnt.I have even adjusted the clutch at the pedal, but it dosent really help.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. My clutch went dead on me and started makin this wierd grinding rubbing sound that i could feel back through the pedal so I replaced my clutch slave (had just put on a new master less than 6 months prior) and after bleeding it 2305323752 times and swearing up and down the prob with clutch pedal feel and engagement was still there.

Do you ever smell burning clutch when u get outa ur car? Does the stiffness of the pedal change at all?

What finally solved my problem was my release fork was tilted up and was causing my clutch to be partially engaged at all times. Its kinda hard to explain and i should have taken pictures, but basically Mgags7 and I wobbled the release fork up and down some and pushed it back into its normal place and the funky clutch pedal business was over.

No fluid leaks and no smell ever. The pedal feels fine while driving but it when starting it its like Im not pushing it all the way down....but I am.I dont know....but I found a new slave here in town for 21$ made by nissin brand new with a life time warranty...so Ill try that either way.I hope it remedys the problem.

Wait a minute, it stays like that now? Its staying in place?

Just so everyone knows, this normally can't happen, we think the throwout bearing is the problem, but after taking the transmission out of a prelude 8499r03948032 times, me/marcus are hesitant to fix this shizzzz.
