O2 sensor / atmospheric pressure sensor problem
I was getting codes for the O2 sensor (1 blink) followed by 13 blinks (atmospheric pressure sensor) and I have replaced both and am still getting the codes. Any ideas on what to check next? Gas mileage is naturally suffering horribly and a consistent smell of gas at startup is annoying, so any help would be great.
Check your electrical connections.
For the O2 the connectors get loose. Grab the wires on both sides of the connector and push the wires together. This fixed mine. Next would be to find out if the signal is getting to the ECU. You would need to backprobe the connector.
The MAP sensor (Manifold absolute pressure) Does not create it own voltage. So you have to check that it is getting 5 volts in. Also you have a ground. Then check for the signal at the MAP and then at the ECU with backprobing it too.
Sorry I don't have the pinouts of your ecu. Maybe someone else can help you with them.
