Paint on some parts of the clear brighter than others?
I have a pearl white paint job. I recently got in a car accident and had the honda dealership replace my rear bumper. The rear bumper is the same paint code as the rest of my car, but it a lot brighter than the rest of my car. Is there a way I can even it out?
my camera isn't clear eonugh to capture the color differences. It's a prettty noticable difference. The rear bumper is still pearl, but a shade brighter than the rest of the car.
The shop didn't paint match the part correctly. They know it and just let it go to see if you wouldn't notice. An experienced painter would have no problem paint matching that color.
See, in a bodyshop when they get the paint code from the car, there is still different shades of the same color and in different lights they may appear the same or different. The only way to fix this would be to take it back and have it resprayed with a different shade of the same color.
