IF there is no tuning....
piggybacks aren't necessarily junk, but there capabilities are just fuel enrichment for a/f tune and maybe ignition timing (im not even sure on this). but the big thing that we need is cam timing tune, which a standalone ems can only do (like a kpro). also, piggybacks only trick the ecu in doing what they do, so sometimes, ur car can be running good and sometimes not so good. i hope that helps.
well cam timing is essential to producing more power with any k series motor. i think cam timing refers to the amount of time the intake valve and exhaust valves are open together. tuning this can produce globs of power for our k series motors. even with the stock cams, u can make some good power by just tuning the cam timing or cam angles. i've seen this done so with many rsx's out there w/ stock cams, they'll dyno like 215 or around there with kpro (w/ cam timing tune and the other tune options) whereas im only getting around 218 with aftermarket cams. so, i mean there is a big difference that can be made with the cam timing tune. if everything i've heard is true (according to 8thcivic.com), there should be unit coming out that will be very similar to the kpro. some guy is testing it righ now as we speak but he wont reveal any sort of info b/c of its still in the research and development stages.
ok gotcha. thanks for the info. what is your list of mods? do u think getting valves would help make better numbers with your cams. also is there cam gears avaliable for our motors yet??

no problems, always looking to help. my mods are injen cai, dcrh, custom exh. and skunk 2 cams stage 1 w/ skunk exh. cam gear. if u wanna look at my dyno it is at:

im not totally sure if an upgraded valvetrain would give me gains but i know its for safety reasons being that with more aggressive cams than stock, the stock valvetrain will theoretically suffer (this is what most say) but the cams im running only recommend valve train not required like the stage 2s. the cam gear for our cars are the same ones for the rsx type s. also keep in mind that we only need the exhaust cam gear.
