Hey guys I have a big problem, I just finished installing my Full Race manifold and now I have a problem that the idle control sensor keeps acting up, The idle goes up and down. I just put in a new one and the car drove fine until I got on it ? What can it be.
Has anyone have the same problem?
Thanks

thats because you need to reset your idle.
follow the OEM specs for setting the idle.
I generally have people set the jumpered and unplugged idle (read your service manual) for 100RPM less than your target idle. (in the case of OEM, set your idle to 650, then reset ecu, etc. and it will idle back at 750).
the idle issues is because the IACV/idle is "calibrated" to the old manifold. some people just blockoff the IACV alltogether, but that can cause some fun things to come about.

I'll try that. the sensor was replaced by a new one and the car drove without problems until I stepped on it. Are you trying to say that the sensor is fine?
thanks
thanks
I just finished fixing the exact same problem where it would jump up and down from 1k to 2500 rpm it was the simplist thing, I bled the coolant system and poof idle solved!
Also check for intake leaks. Plug the IACV/FITV holes with your fingers, and it it still doesn't idle down to 500rpm, you probably have a leak.
