Default Would GM syncro mesh help a grind?

Just curious to see if anyone has used GM syncro mesh to help with a grind.
I track(road race) the car once a month, and its popping out of 2nd gear with a grind in 2-3 gear.
I know the b-series cars use gm syncro mesh to cure a grind, but curious to see if anyone has tried it in their K series.

I need the car to last for one more event, after that its getting torn down and replaced with new 1st-2nd gear syncro, clutch, flywheel, lsd, fd. So this would be a bandaid more or less.

If you are having that many problems with it then no, it wont help you. Sounds like your trans. is too far gone. A re-build is in order for your case.

GM syncomesh is not good, they actually ruin the synchro because they are not gold metal safe, gold metal is the stuff that the synchros are made of (brass i think). i used Amsoil Synchromech worked very good, mine used to kick out of third every once in a while but know it doesnt do it anymore. dont run royal purple tranny fluid penzoil or GM... all i would run is the new oem oil from honda or the amsoil.

It won't wreck anything in your transmission. I had and issue with 3rd gear popping out and since putting Gm syncro mesh in it has never popped out of gear in 8 months. Lots of people on clubrsx report good results when using gm syncro mesh.

you can try the gm syncromesh, but its sounds like its just gonna be a band-aid(if that) for more serious tranny issues.

pennzoil/gm syncromesh is yellow metal safe.

I get it rarely now ever since I changed to Honda MTF. The previous owner was a genius and had Mobil 1 for some reason. Not cool, but I think I'll switch to Amsoil next round up.

hey just rebuilt a 02 rsx tranny for the first time i dont own one but i rebuilt it and tell you what i think that every one should check this out when you start getting a grind.....if you disconnect the cables form the shifting mechnismes you could take it out and inspect it i would suggest cleaning the top of the trans first but i know i had to replace the part of the shifing mechnisem that shifts 1st and 2nd the part that puts it in 2nd was all shinny and worn down this is pretty easy to take out and its worth a look and it easy to replace the part we waited to long and tryed to get it in gear by forcing it and ended up killen the second gear where the shift hub slides over.........and you know what the syncros were perfectly fine 74k on trans and supercharges for like 20k go figuer............................dont hate cause i cant spell thanks
