Does anybody know how big is the inside of the CAT??

i broke out everything inside the CAT, my uncle says it will improve more if i can SUCK a pipe in there instead of nothing, so i want to see what diamater it is so that i can get the pipe

Make a 2.25" test pipe from Autozone.

BTW, if your just a NA SOHC, you'll see NO gains with the stock gutted LOUD AS HELL pos cat.

 

yes, a waste of time. The diameter is actually pretty big. It will do nothing and you will feel no gain.

I have a civic ex with d16z6 motor in there now, and when i had my exhaust done, I had my cat gutted and ran with straight pipe instead of resonator and there was SERIOUS fart/bumble bee coming out. Couldn't stand it.

After then I had to pass emissions and failed miserably with a gutted cat, so I bought a Catgo high flow cat thru Summit for $100, and passed with any problems at all. I ran that for a year, and still decided that I had alot of fart thru the exhaust and kinda sounds like crap, plus it's very loud.

So I recently got a glass pack resonator installed, and I am definantly loving the sound now. My AEM CAI is much louder than the exhaust and the exhaust has a very nice sound, let alone coming out of a 1.6 SOHC motor. Can't wait to hear the sound when mr. H22A is in there

but if it's 1.75, theni will just wait for the money to do a custom down pipe with CAT 3"
