whos up for trivia... let play, name this valve and more importantly... its purpose.... #5 in the diagram.

 

ok the suspense is killing me, ... its a Fuel injection air (FIA) control solenoid valve.

but the hell does this little turd do? I am elimating things I dont need and it is looking like it wants to find a home in my trash can... but I figured it would be good to know what it does first. I know, right... picky aint I.

 

do one of the lines on it run down to the rear motor mount?

 

nope.

ok so agian the suspense is killing me. between 1300 and 4500 rpms a ground signal is applied to this FIA control solenoid valve... which then bypasses additional air into the motor through a tract in the intake manifold flange, right around each injector bung.

stupid... going to be removed since I have hondata and tune adjusted to compensate. we shall see if I get a check engine for it, if so I would asume I can just jumper the harness to get rid of that.

anyone else deal with one of these yet? is there a code for this useless piece of ????
