so you're saying that's right if it's tuned??? well it's not tuned, so it's not right??? i'm wonderin when i do get my car tuned, where it'll be. i'm shootin for the 230's. i need to get a new exhaust (larger piping) and replace my field's vtec-afc with the apexi vafc. i just put in new ngk iridium plugs. you think 230's is possible after all this and a dyno tune?

thanks. can you explain that dip in power right before the vtec crossover point? mine has the same thing, but much more drastic of a dip than yours. thanks.

Well that's the traditional VTEC lag...all of our cars have it. I'm thinking cause your boosted, the resulting lag is a much bigger drop followed by a bigger gain. Good theory? You should be able to V-AFC tune that out.

SloAccord: What's with the top dyno? It must have a V-AFC or something cause there is no lag/dip before VTEC ?

tuning! it doesnt have a vafc; it's all about proper tuning. I cannot vouch for the bottom dyno, but the top one is dynoed by my friend, vaportrail (he's mostly in the FI forum). i have no doubt it's his skills that straightened out the curve.

220hp untuned is possible with bolt ons and fuel pressure set to ~70psi and timing around 3 clicks from min. It is exaclty where most Preludes are with that setting. With tuning mid 230's is possible.
