SO i tried to instal my intake manifold today.. ran into some.. PRETTy big problems.

pretty much the install went smooth as cup cake.. till i tried to start it up. i started it up and it started to rev insanely high. i asummed it had a air leak, i was right.. i didnt put the injectors on fully. so i fixed that.. started it up and it was running fine.

so i started to drive home from my opi\'s house, and my speedo didnt work, i didnt think anything of it..

so i stopped to get gas, didnt fill up cause the place dint accept my card or somthing wierd.

so i started to drive again, like 2-3 blocks my car starts to rev high and then low, with out me touching it, if its in nutrual, the car revs up and down. also when driving it, i hear this "gas realising sound" ( like when u fill up hellium ballons, it sounds like that.. if that makes sound) when i dont add gas, but when i floor it in a 3rd 4th or 5th the sound goes away, but comes back again when i decellerate. also during this my speedo is on crack, jumping up and down... just looking for osme idea's where to start looking ...

are you sure its not your tachometer not your speedometer?

also we're going to have to know what engine you have.

 

sounds like you have a vacume leak still. If you are geting a wooshing sound it is probly pretty big, make sure all vacume lines are conected, and tight.

 

You have another vacuum leak, could be an internal leak like IACV or FITV, does not have to be a vacuum hose or intake gasket but could be several things, stethoscope will find it.

 

well the eingine is a b16a2, and its in a sir..

i had a few problems hooking the mani up, i had to bang the old thorttle body holder into a angle so i can mount it up to the spot, so it would fit beside the sensor.

i also put on a hondata intake manifold gasket. its alot thicker compared to the stock one.. is there any kind of like gluE? or osmthing that i should have put on it? orosme kind of sealer??

do it all over again!! new gasket!!new o rings!! and do it right this time!!and WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE TB? bang angle you dont make sense

 

there is a metal plate that bolts onto the mainfold, it wouldnt fit because the snesor is in the way.. so i had to put it on a angel.. like ahmmer it to the angle..

 

the air is leaking around your throttle body im guessing as for your speedo im not sure check some fuses under the dash there is one that is 15 or 20 amp that makes the guage cluster work check the speedo cable too!
