Default skunk 2 H Series pro Intake Manifold

yes i have searched and 90% of the threads where on when is it coming out and crap like that. i found others that said the older one sucked but nothing about the pro. then i found some but they did not have any graphs or anything to prove if it helped. so anyways my brother has a 97 honda prelude with the H22A4. its NOT the SH model. i am looking at getting him a skunk 2 pro intake for it. just wondering if anyone has proven anything about it. i was looking into the euro R manifold but i read it needed modification to work which i don't want to do any of really unless i have to just as much modifying with the skunk 2. Then i read that porting the stock one would work pretty good to but he does not have more then a day or 2 that he can not use his car and sending it somewhere will take longer then that.

he has a cat back exhaust and aem short ram intake. so ya anyone have any proof if it is worth it?

Spend that money elsewhere with those limited mods. IMHO at this point you have no business buying an IM. Definitely in the very least get a decent header first.

this is not my car and its going to be N/A. just want more performance for the streets... so a good header would do more? or a intake manifold and TB? i dont want to do internals really as this is NOT my car... and i am splitting the cost.

why would i not

i seen that the skunk 2 made better power then the euro r but not by much at all to consider it better until you add a TB, which i was planning on doing with it anyways. The modified stock lost everywhere so i am not going to do that. So its pretty much if i decide to go with a intake which one to go with. By those results since the skunk 2 and euro r both pretty much did the same i would go with whatever one is easier to bolt on.

i was just wondering if a decent but no $800 header would add more then the intake mani+TB

Well i have the S2 IM and bored TB. If your brother is not going to get his car tuned then there is almost no point for this upgrade. I have 00 SH and my cuzin has one too. I have S2 IM, bored TB, I/H/E... And I only take him by a half car lenth (till 80mph) Sooo, its up to you but make sure your borther gets it tuned.

Cuzin has I/H/E too

just my .03 and a 1/2 cents

he probably would if their was one closer then 3 hours away and that place might not even be open anymore. if its not then they just get further and further away. i dont know how far of a travel is worth getting tune done with a car that does not have any major mods
