Default Need help with bouncing corners

My car is lowed........but without a new set of shocks.........so the shocks are stock civic suspension

While turning corners on bumpy roads......my car slides on the bumps.....is it just the the shocks causing this problem?......or are there other causes....tell me some of the causes of this...i really want to solve this problem

Stock shocks cannot handle aftermarket springs or coilovers. You prolly blew your shocks. Should have gotten aftermarket shocks.

It is your shocks, they can't absorb the oscillations of the springs caused by the bumps in the road.

If the lowering springs are fairly stiff, then a good aftermarket shock with lots of dampening will help. Although, if you after running a large rim/small sidewall combo and stiff springs it's going to be hard to stop it from skipping or 'sliding' in rough corners. A nice stiff setup is good at the track though.

The springs I have are very stiff...but I think i will need to get new shocks...how do u test if ur shocks are all stuffed up or not? Coz my old car had to get new shocks coz it was stuffed up.

There are a few corners around my town that my car "skips" of slides a little, I have 16" wheels with 205/45 tires, and a stock suspension, sometimes there really isnt much you can do b/c sometimes the bumps will be big enough to disrupt even the best sus[ensions enough to cause skipping.

if its on coil-overs, and you want to stop it, gotta get new shocks, but for now you'd hve to race the car to the point where the coil will not move up and down, that should help a little until you get new shocks...peace
