Default performance intake pipe and air filter

hi i bought a performance intake pipe and air filter for my 1999 honda accord sir-t and install it and it started make a quit vacum noise coming from the intake pipe and whitsle noise coming from airfilter when i accerlerate i'm just wondering if this is just a normal noise for a honda thanks.

yes its normal.
most aftermarket, unrestricted filters will create a distinct vaccum/sucking sound.

you should after installing the intake reset your ecu,from what i heard your should after each and every mod.reset your ecu,also did you happen to take out that black box that hides inside the mud guard under the front passenger fender? if not,you should.that box is nothing after removing your stock air intake.once out you would have more cool air going to your intake,i bet your intake temp. is hot when you touch it,also try stepping your gas wide open and hear you intake roar!!!

hay there thanks 4 the info yea i remove the black box inside the mud gaurd too and stil did the same job so im just wondering how do u reset the ecu??? thanks 4 the help.

with a performance intake your all the time going to here a vacuum like sound,it sucks more air to your throttle-body more than a stock intake.no worries there.as for resetting your ecu,pop your hood open and on your left hand side nearest the windshield there is a black box with fuses,take the backup fuse 7.5 for a good minute or less,most say 20 sec.but i have the time for a minute or so....
