Default I'm a noob and need some help lol

Well i got a few things i wanna ask. I'm super noob so yeah lol.

#1. Any intake that gives great performance without cutting the inside of your car to make it fit?

#2. Would intake + header give me good hp gain without exhaust to let all that air out?

#3. Is there any exhausts that are quiet and don't sound all riced out that also gives great performance? I don't want my car to sound like a ricer. I rather have it sound hella clean or no sound.

#4. What kind of HID's should I get and what number regarding to the color. I don't want it too blue to where it looks like cheap generic ones. I want it to look like BMW if not nicer.

#5. Thank to everyone that has read my idiotic questions and helped me out.

#1: since when do you have to mod the interior of a car for a intake? and if your talking about the engine bay. you dont have to cut anything either.

#2 it all depends on what your expecting. your not going to make 45 hp out of a intake and header. on a good day with decent stuff like DCRH and intake ive seen up to 15ish hp gained.

#3 there's a large selection of exhaust's that sound perfectly quite when your not putting pressure on that gas pedal. and its all about the tone you like. youtube some videos of exhaust's your looking at and go from there.

#4. no clue about lighting.

#5. np man, everyone starts somewhere. some people on this site cant tolerate new people anymore cause they've been here forever and see the questions all too much.

good luck with what ever your doing

I know I am new to the site but on my Si I have an N1 exhaust, you probably won't get this on the count of having to get custom piping. At any rate, if you don't want loud stay away from this, it has a low hum but is pretty loud on the inside of your car.

#3: apexi ws2 cbe or abe, greddy sp2, or just hfp abe... all of which do not sound like rice at all. nice throaty rumble and very subtle lookin imo.

#4: hid's, do 6000k (white hint of blue) but pnps have issues with glare. look up the custom lightz retrofit thread.

what about HKS? I was recommended by a friend to get that overall because of the performance it gives. Not quite sure how it sounds tho.

1. X's intake can be found on 8thcivic.com for 300 shipped. He is a sponser.

2. A intake and header like the X's intake and Buddy Club header will give you gains but to maximize the gains you should get an exhaust system.

3. I had a Greddy Evo2 which was not ricey sounding. You could also try the tanabe hyper medallion as it has a 93 or less db rating.

4. As for the HID, I would go with a retrofit from customlightz.com, it will cost around 1100 for the retrofit and HID kit which should be a 4100k/4300k kit. This will provide a good solid cut off and clean light that doesn't blind passerby's and will give you the light quality of BMW or Lexus.

5. Your welcome. Good luck with your car.
