Default cam gears

i have a jdm b16 with edelbrock adjustable cam gears. were should i have them set at for the best gain. or should i just leave them alone and make them look pretty?

You should leave them. Get the car professionally tuned if you're so inclined.

X2. gains will be so small that its best seen on a dyno readout.

the cam gears are used in conjunction with alot of other parts to extract the most power from a given motor... leaving them zeroed would be the best bet until you can see what changes. Even 2 motors with very simmilar parts lists will sometimes like very different cam gear settings. it's all up to the tuner.

allright thanks guys. im always lookin for a way to pull another 1/2 hp out of my engine haha. it sux tho cause winters comin up and i gotta winterize it

hells yeah free gains are nice. since i got the cam gears for free
index my plugs? sorry im about half asleep right now, but couldnt go to bed without checkin the forums yet

if you doa search on google there is a good in depth indexing how to.

basically just line up all the electrodes to face front to back, and have the opening a certain way.

I cant promise even a 1 hp gain, but it sure cant hurt anyhting, and the how-to writer swears by it.

hahaha thanks il have to check that out. i could use that extra 1 hp. it might drop me a tenth in the 1/4 mile or somethin. or just sound like an idiot tellin people that that would actually work
